Cephalium
Lateral, 5-7 cm wide, with white to cream woolly hairs to 2.2 cm long and red bristles to 0.8 cm long.
Flowers
Broad funnelform, white, to 3.5 cm long and in diameter.
Spines
Light brown. Central spines 6-7, slightly bent, 2-35 mm long.
Ribs
37-42, narrow.
Stem
Columnar, usually unbranched (or rarely branching), bluish green, up to 6 m high and 15 cm in diameter.
