Mammillaria lauiSN|11877]]SN|11877]] subsp. dasyacantha 是一种刺非常优美的物种，可通过其众多细长、柔软、白色且具弹性的中央刺与其他 Mammillaria lauiSN|11877]]SN|11877]] 复合群成员区分开来。它在春季开花频繁，一年中后期还会有第二次甚至第三次花期。随着时间推移，植株会丛生形成直径6至15厘米（或更大）的大丛，开出深粉色的花朵。

深粉色，直径约1厘米。
茎
长圆形或球形，深绿色，直径可达约5厘米。
辐射刺
多达60根，白色或黄白色，毛发状。中央刺 与辐射刺相似，数量多、细、有弹性。
