Description
Astrophytum myriostigma cv. OoiboSN|1845]]SN|17928]] nudum combines the very large woolly areoles of "Ooibo" with the green naked stems of the the var. nudum (nude form).
Flowers
Like those of Astrophytum myriostigmaSN|17928]]SN|1845]], pale-yellow, shining-silk.
Blooming Season
Spring to summer. They take up to 6 years to bloom.

Ribs
3 to 8 (usually 5), lacking or mostly lacking white flecks, giving a bright green, blue-green, gray-green or mauve-green colour overall depending on clones.
Stem
Spherical to shortly columnar with age, 5-10 (or more) cm in diameter.
Fruits
Dry, dehisces towards the apex forming about 5 star shaped lobes. With few seeds.
Areoles
very large characteristic and woolly, the colour of the wool also varies from pure white, to pastel, yellowish, orangish or brownish depending on the clone. So it is easily distinguishable from the common myriostigma that has relatively small scarcely woolly greys-white areoles.
