Description
This is a large, vigorous plant solitary or in its native state sprouting at the base.
Roots
Fibrous-rooted.
Flowers
Yellowish-white, sulphur yellow, peach-coloured/rose-red, and silver-shiny.
Spines
Different, radial spines finer, central spines clearly different long.
Ribs
15- 20 rather slender thickened at intervals into tubercles.
Stem
Globose or short-cylindric, woolly and depressed at the top, glaucous or greyish green, which eventually becomes about 25 cm high of similar diameter.
