The standard Mammillaria perezdelarosaeSN|18544]]SN|11894]] is a well known small cactus with smallish stems densely covered with curious bicoloured spines. It combines clean, glassy white radial spines with hooked dark-brown centrals. It is one of the more beautiful Mammillaria. The crested form (Mammillaria perezdelarosae f. cristataSN|11894]]SN|18544]]) - despite to its beauty - is still very rare and sought after by collectors, for its unique features.

Flowers
Greenish white, cream to light pink, with a slightly darker midstripe are up to 20 mm long and 2,5 cm in diameter.
