Description
This is the nice crested form of the beautiful Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatusSN|1523]]SN|1523]] "inermis" It is a very interesting almost spineless form of the well known species recognizable without problems for the areoles with very few and extremely reduced spines, whereas the white bunches are more significant. The monstrous spine/areole pattern vaguely resembles a Pelecyphora asseliformis very much though.
Roots
Tuberose and usually bigger than the stem itself.
Tubercles
Compressed laterally (hatchet shaped), spirally-arranged.
Flowers
Pinkish smaller than the species, petals very thin.
Blooming Season
Spring.
Spines
Absent or very short, usually less than 1 mm long a comb like formation (pectinated).
Stem
Dull green apex with short white hair.
Areoles
Linear about 0,5 mm wide and up to 5 mm long, with some white wool.
