Description
Gymnocalycium stellatumSN|11493]]SN|11493]] var. minimum is a very small, slowly growing (usually) solitary cactus with a swollen tap root.
Flowers
Creamy-white with a reddish throat, up to 5 cm long, 4,5 cm in diameter.
Blooming Season
Flowers are produced in late spring and remain open for up to twelve days.
Spines
Short, rather flexible, light brown to dull grey with a darker base, spreading and more or less flattened against the body.
Stem
Dark grayish-brown, olive green, reddish brown or yellowish coloured, flattened, up to 6 cm in diameter. Crown mostly without spines.
