Central Spines
One (or two) 1-1,2 cm long or more, curving slightly upwards, withish with a bright to dark tip.
Ribs and Tubercles
It has 13 ribs divided in dainty, conical tubercles about 5-7 mm hight and 4-7 mm wide.
Seeds
Dark brown to dull black.
Description
It is a small species usually solitary or partly clumping from the base.
Flowers
Numerous on the crown, diurnal, 2-3 cm long, 1,8-2,5 cm wide, in shades of pink to light magenta with darker midveins. Ovary bare.
