Description

This is the crested clone of Copiapoa calderanaSN|1739]]SN|1739]]. It is one of the more fascinating crested Copiapoa sought after by cactus impassioned. This cultivar is stable and remain crested. The standard species is a solitary or slowly clumping columnar cactus with greyish-green, not pruinose depressed spherical or cylindrical stems.

Large light yellow funnel-shaped, 3 to 3,5 cm in length, 3 cm wide, scented.

Thick reddish brown to black.

Fan-shaped up to 10 cm in width; Apex densely woolly.

5 to 7, 1,3 to 1,5 cm long.

Pale green, reddish above to 15 mm long.

5-10 mm across, covered with creamy-white, yellowish-grey or brownish wool, turning grey or blackish, later glabrous.
