Description

Astrophytum myriostigmaSN|1845]]SN|1845]] cv. Onzuka Blind form is a monstrous ball (spherical) form of the “Onzuka” without any apparent ribs and with a characteristic scaly, or furry/peeling, brownish epidermis. It is very slow growing and quite difficult to keep on its own roots and is often seen grafted onto strong columnar cacti. But the ball form is not stable, it is only a juvenile stage of development and as the plant ages (after several years) it starts slowly to produce normal ribs.
