3根，锥状，长2-6厘米；上部中央刺几乎圆形或略扁平，微弯；下部者近直立，乳白色，基部近乎黑褐色。
花
花长约1.5厘米，白色或黄色，具紫色或褐紫色中线。
棱
(25 -) 35 (-40)，略呈波浪状。
茎
球状至椭圆状，高达15厘米，深绿色。
辐射刺
多达18-22根，尖锐，白色，最长可达1.5厘米（以下部者为准）。
